Brian and Tyrene traveled to Kansas to celebrate Christmas with their family, and it was a truly joyful visit filled with love, laughter, and time well spent together. It was one of those trips that reminds you how important it is to pause, gather close, and simply enjoy being family.
This Christmas also marked the beginning of a new Cook family tradition, brought on by Ashley and Jaelyn—painting Christmas ornaments. As expected, it didn’t take long for the banter to begin. Our family is wonderfully snarky and full of humor, and ornament painting brought out the very best of it. Those who consider themselves “less artistic” wasted no time picking on—while secretly admiring—the creative spirits in the room. The teasing, laughter, and playful commentary made the moment just as special as the ornaments themselves.
Even though Brian and Tyrene were both under the weather during the trip, it didn’t slow the festivities one bit. The laughter still flowed, the traditions still happened, and the memories were still made.
One of the highlights was spending special time with their grandson, including a trip to LEGOLAND Discovery Center and the Titanic Exhibit. Watching his excitement, curiosity, and pure joy added an extra layer of magic to an already meaningful holiday.
From snarky banter to new traditions and unforgettable moments, this Christmas was one for the books.
Merry Christmas from our house to yours.
